Students
Very serious sanctions may be imposed if a violation of University policy occurs. Students are responsible for understanding the types of conduct deemed unacceptable and therefore, prohibited by policy and to refrain from committing any of these acts. Please review the information provided on this web page but also the Policies section of the VCU Insider Student Handbook and Resource Guide.
Rules and Procedures
Issues of non-academic student misconduct will be adjudicated via the University’s Rules and Procedures; this includes VCU Alcohol & Drug Policy violations, Student Sexual Misconduct policy violations, and Student Off-Campus Conduct violations.
Honor System
Categories of academic dishonesty include, but are not limited to, any deliberate and dishonest act that results, or could result in, a student receiving an unfair advantage in an academic matter including plagiarism, cheating, lying, stealing academic materials, and facilitation of academic dishonesty.
