VCU Alternative Spring Break
Apply by November 10, 2005 at www.studentorg.vcu.edu/vcuasb/. Cost: $115; 50-60 participants will be accepted.
As disaster would have it, Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area in September, causing unprecedented damage and leaving thousands homeless. Come with us as we do our part to aid in the relief effort.
We will be joining other volunteers from across the nation in doing anything from working in a food line to rebuilding houses. Help our nation recover from the largest natural disaster in recent history and make this your most memorable spring break ever.

VITA's Security Services has received multiple reports of individuals using fake Hurricane Katrina donation and relief web sites. These sites are being used to create false donation foundations to gain money, capture usernames and passwords, and lead you to install spyware or trojan software on your machine. Several websites/domains in question include: katrinahelp.com, katrinarelief.com, and katrinacleanup.com.
If you desire to donate to the Hurricane Katrina victims, please start your process at http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=18473 which provides a list of reputable agencies, or donate to organizations you have experience with and trust.
