Ann Reid Anderson, MSN, BSN
Ann Reid received her BSN from Virginia Commonwealth University and her MSN from the University of Virginia. She is a nurse practitioner on the Monroe Park campus and has an interest in primary care and chronic medical problems including diabetes, hypertension and asthma.

Katherine Allen, MSN, BSN
Katherine is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Utah in 1986, and received her MSN from the University of Texas in 1996. She is particularly interested in women’s health and tropical medicine.

Becky Arp
Becky is the Lab Technician on the Monroe Park Campus. She draws blood and runs other necessary testing in the laboratory. She received her BS in Clinical Labs from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Lori Bekenstein, MD
Dr. B attended medical school at the University of Virginia. She started her residency in Adult Psychiatry at UVA and finished it at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, also at UNC, Chapel Hill. She is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Courtney Bickett, FNP, MSN, MSW, BSN, BS
Courtney received her BS in Psychology from James Madison University, her MSW, BSN, and MSN from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also serves as a Health Educator in the Office of Health Promotion. She specializes in sexual health issues.

Jeannette Bishai, RNC, WHCNP
Jeannette earned her medical degree from Cairo, Egypt, and received her BSN and MSN from Virginia Commonwealth University. She works as a part-time women’s health nurse practitioner at the Monroe Park campus.

Beth Chamberlain, RN
Beth is one of our clinical nurses. She joined the University Student Health Services in October 1997 after many years in the operating room.

Christine Charbonneau, FNP, MPH, BSN
Chris received her BSN from Columbia University and her MN preparation as a nurse practitioner from Emory University. She also earned her Master of Public Health degree from UCLA. She serves as the contact person at SHS for Travel Care for the VCU Students at the academic campus.

Leah Czarnecki
Leah is the Medical Records Manager for both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. She also works with the student health immunization team to ensure immunization compliance among the VCU student body. Leah obtained her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Boston College.

Kristen Kidd Donovan, MPH
Kristen is the Substance Abuse Services Coordinator at The Well. She received her BA in English from Davidson College. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zimbabwe, she earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa School of Public Health. Kristen educates on substance abuse, and connects students struggling with substance abuse issues to appropriate community resources. Kristen's other responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data on substance use and abuse at VCU and working with University partners to foster a healthy, safe environment for VCU students.

Karen Konopelski, MS, RD, CSSD
Karen is a Registered Dietitian at The Well. She received her BA in psychology from Muhlenberg College, and earned her Masters of Nutritional Sciences from University of Connecticut. Karen's primary responsibilities include educating students about nutrition, eating disorders, and body image. She provides one-on-one nutrition counseling and gives presentations.

Penny Gugino, BSN
Penny is a part-time nurse at Student Health. Prior to coming to student health in the fall of 1990, she worked with the Henrico County Health Department.

Linda Hancock, PhD, CFNP, RN
Linda serves as both a clinician and Director of The Well. She is an animated health educator whose specialties over the years have included all the "S's": sexual health, substance abuse, and stress management. She is currently the smoking cessation guru at VCU and leads a campus-wide social norms marketing campaign to reduce substance use.

Nancy Harris, ANP, OGNP
Nancy is a nurse practitioner in the clinic and the Women's Health Coordinator for The Well. She supervises students who conduct women's health seminars.

Katie Vatalaro Hill, MPH, CHES
Katie serves as the Assistant Director and Nutrition Services Coordinator at The Well. Her primary responsibilities include educating students about nutrition, eating disorders and body image and stress management. She provides presentations, one-on-one counseling, and plans campus-wide events. She received her Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Cynthia Holmes, RN, BSN
Cindy is the Assistant Director, Clinical Operations. She oversees nursing staff, immunizations, and the laboratory. Cindy received her diploma R.N. from Mt Carmel School of Nursing. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from VCU.

Barbara Jackson-Ingram, M.S.
Barbara serves as Assistant Director of Administration for USHS. She received her B.S. in Health Care Management from VCU and her MS in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.

Samuel Johnson
Sam works in the pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. He works with patients, staff, and practitioners to coordinate pharmacy care.

Holly Kibble, MD, MPH
Dr. Kibble received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She then went to Loma Linda University, in Loma Linda California, to earn her Masters in Public Health and complete her residency in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. She received her Doctor of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH.

Jacquelyn MacDonald
Jackie serves as the Office Manager for The Well. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Women's Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. While monitoring the office's finances and budgets, she executes program planning, and the implementation and evaluation of various health programs.

Deborah Mannix
Deborah serves as a Program Support Technician for the MCV campus. She received her Dental Assistant Certification from MCV and her radiology certification from Central VA Community College. She provides administrative support to the clinical staff and is responsible for ensuring that students who utilize our facility receive excellent customer service from the Business Office Staff.

Tammy McKeown, MS
Tammy is the Coordinator of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Services. She provides advocacy services for victims of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. Tammy also organizes awareness events and conducts educational programming for the campus community. She received a BS in Psychology and MS from the Department of Sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Cathy Moolhuyzen, RPh
Cathy is the Director of Pharmacy Services. She graduated from the MCV School of Pharmacy and has previous experience working for several local hospitals and drug store pharmacies.

David W. Nelson, MD, MPH
Dr. Nelson received his Doctor of Medicine from Boston University, and completed his residency in Family Practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. While a resident, he also completed a Masters of Public Health degree through Loma Linda University. Dr. Nelson is Board Certified in Family Practice and sees patients with a full range of primary care problems and concerns.

Lois Phillips, RN, BSN
Lois is a one of our clinical nurses on the Monroe Park campus. She joined our staff in August 2005 after working with Henrico County Public Schools. She received her BSN from VCU Medical School.

Betty Reppert, P.A-C, MPH
Betty serves as the Associate Director of Student Health Services. She received her BS and PA degrees through a joint program with Wake Forest University and Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She then earned her Master in Public Health from MCV/VCU.

Margaret Roberson, MD
Dr. Margaret Roberson is the Director of Student Health Services. Margaret received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she completed her residency at the VCU Health System. She is a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine and sees private patients on the MCV campus in addition to students from both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.

Susan Tatu, RN
Susan earned her BS in Health Science from State University of NY College at Brockport. She later returned to school for her nursing degree and worked briefly in Labor and Delivery. Susan works on the MCV campus, where she feels she has the best nursing job available.

Chifawn Taylor
Chifawn serves as a Program Support Technician for the Monroe Park campus. She provides administrative support to the clinical staff and is responsible for ensuring that students who utilize our facility receive excellent customer service from the Business Office Staff. She is also responsible for patient referrals, and offers administrative support to the health center’s staff psychiatrist.

Bernadette Ucci, MD
Dr. Ucci attended Creighton University School of Medicine - Omaha and completed a residency with the VCU Health System in Internal Medicine. She has a joint appointment with Student Health Services and the Department of Internal Medicine, VCU Health System.

Jeannine Uzel, RN, BSN
Jeannine serves as the Immunization Coordinator for both the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. She has a wealth of experience with the Virginia Department of Health as a Public Health Nurse and in the public school system. She is also an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing.

Nancy Walker, RN
Nancy joined our staff in spring 2005 and serves as a part-time nurse. Prior to working at Student Health, she was employed with the VCU Health Systems in the ambulatory care setting.

Amanda Wattenmaker, MPH, CHES, CPH
Amanda is a health educator (generalist) at The Well. She received her BS in Health Communication/Education from James Madison University. She earned her Master of Public Health from VCU/MCV. Amanda's responsibilities include advising the Project R.E.A.C.H. Peer Educators and the Cancer Awareness Team (CAT). She also works on the campus-wide social norms campaign to reduce substance use, and assists in the coordination of the National College Health Assessment (NCHA).

Ellen Wright
Ellen serves as the Business Manager for the University Student Health Services. She has worked everywhere from MCV Department of Anatomy within the School of Medicine to the Office of Health Promotion.
