Students will need to have a scheduled appointment with Student Health to be seen. It is best to call for an appointment at least 24 hours before you need to be seen. Please call during clinic hours to schedule an appointment. You may request a particular practitioner when you make an appointment, and every effort will be made to accommodate your request.
USHS will reserve same day appointments for ill patients who need to be seen that day. However, if you have an urgent medical problem, call USHS. Your condition will be assessed by a Registered Nurse and you will be advised of the appropriate plan of care at that time. True emergencies will be seen and treated immediately.
If you schedule an appointment and cannot keep it, please call USHS so that another student may have the time set aside for you.
Please be punctual; arriving more than 10 minutes late will result in having to reschedule your appointment.
Due to high demand, please call to schedule routine annual exams at least two to three weeks in advance.
When you come to USHS be sure to bring your VCU Student ID.
