Studying in a foreign country can be exciting, but is also a challenging experience. Students will receive practical advice, information, and tips to enhance their educational skills. Workshops are scheduled the last Tuesday of every month of the fall and spring semesters, from 4 – 5 p.m. Refreshments are provided at each session by the Office of International Education.
The Academic Success Program for International Students offers:
- An accessible, enjoyable and user-friendly avenue to academic success.
- Computerized assessment of learning needs.
- Computerized interventions based upon the assessment of learning needs.
- Weekly and monthly workshops on a variety of Academic Success topics."
- The videotape series "How to Make 'A's in College" (available for viewing upon request).
- Consultation with faculty, residence halls and other university departments to provide assistance with identified areas of student Academic Success needs.
- Many other resources such as books, handouts, and one-on-one coaching.
Computer-assisted Study Skills Assements
All you need to do is sign in at the UCS reception desk (University Student Commons, Room 238). Registration is online and is completed on site immediately prior to using these programs.
